About this piece
This antique oak washstand, dating to the late 19th century (circa 1880–1900), is a beautifully preserved example of Early American farmhouse design. Featuring a raised gallery back, turned spindle legs, and open side towel bars, this piece was originally used to hold a water basin and pitcher before indoor plumbing became common.
Crafted from solid oak with warm wood grain, it includes a small drawer with a ceramic knob and a lower shelf for storage or display. Its compact size makes it perfect as a bedside table, entryway catchall, or bathroom accent in cottage, vintage, or rustic interiors.
