A stunning vintage Louis XV–style bombe chest featuring an elegant marble top, ornate brass pulls, and intricate inlaid marquetry detailing across the drawer fronts and sides. The top drawer is designed to open as a drop-front secretary, though one side currently sticks and does not fully open.
The piece includes three large drawers with no center glides—they should be opened with both hands and angled slightly downward, but they do slide smoothly. The marble top has light surface fissures that do not affect its integrity. One side of the wood case was sun-faded but has since been treated with Danish oil, restoring much of its richness and sheen.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Some light fading on one side, now treated. The drop-front desk drawer is partially stuck on one side. Marble shows light surface fissures but is structurally sound. Drawers function well with care.
